My name is Magdalena Krause and I was born in Poland in 1975. When I was 21, I moved to the beautiful Sauerland region in Germany. I am a passionate photographer and artist.
My art
I can't remember a time when I wasn't drawn to art.
I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, mostly floral motifs and it has remained that way to this day. For years I devoted myself to oil painting, during which time I created numerous paintings, which I often presented in the form of an exhibition.
I love details. I am particularly interested in the shape and structure of an object. I am a creative person and look for new challenges.
It all started with my first digital camera. It was love at first sight. I photographed everything, flowers, sky, water, any object or element that fascinated me because of its shape, color or material. In this way, I created my digital collection piece by piece. That's when the experimentation phase began.
My work is based on digitally processed photography. My images are put together to create a kind of landscape that creates a very special, almost magical atmosphere.
You have to assemble, disassemble, layer, add and remove until you get a final image that you are happy with. It is a delicate and personal balance. I am constantly experimenting with digital textures and colors, transforming and mixing them to give my works a distinctive mood.
Floral motifs run through the entire history of art and culture. The great masters such as Van Gogh, Caravaggio, Rubens and Jan Van Eyck have devoted themselves to the subject and created unforgettable works. I too am inspired by the beauty and elegance of flowers. I try to incorporate their shapes and colors into my works and give them a new meaning. My art is an expression of my personality - it reflects my love of nature, but also my striving for harmony and aesthetics.
As an artist, I can be creative and at the same time bring joy to other people. It fills me with pride to see how others enjoy my paintings or are even inspired by them.
In the future I would like to experiment even more - try new techniques, use unusual materials or maybe even create installations. The world is constantly changing.
As an artist you have to remain open to changes and new challenges.
